The Great Invocation
Brought through by Alice Bailey

From the point of light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Love return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the centre which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it lock the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Snowflakes

A wisdom beyond imagining has given us us snowflakes
in an endless variety of crystal arrangements.
They can be very small. They can be very large.
What they cannot be is exactly like any other snowflakwe
in whose company they blanket the earth.
Fortunately the same wisdom has worked it's magic on people too.
No matter how persistently an unkind world
is bent on treating us like clones,
our individuality triumphs.

Children

The Prophet, Kahlil Gibran

And a woman who held a babe against her bosom said,
'Speak to us of children'
And he said:

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you.
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls.
For theit souls dwell in the house of to-morrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.

You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backwards nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows
from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.
The Archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.

Le your bending in the Archer's hand be for gladness:
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.

The Child

(Wendy Dunning)

One day when I was quiet I heard a child weeping within me.

"No one listens!" she cried.

So I began to listen.

She told me of all the times when she had been hurt.

As I heard her pain and comforted her, the pain was soothed.

"No one protects me!" she accused,

So I promised that I would.

She saw that I am full grown and powerful and she felt safe.

"Why should I trust you?" she asked suspiciously.

"Because I love you." I said.

I am the one person who will never leave you.

Now that I can hear you, I will always listen.

As our relationship grew, I watched her learn to love herself,

Let go of her pain and begin to laugh and play again.

Having nurtured the child within me, I found my inner peace.
