Reiki means universal life force energy. This is the very life force of all living things. You may have noticed that you exchange energy with your surroundings and other people. Some people lift you and some drain you, some places have a better 'feel about them'.  As a practitioner I will begin by assuring you that you are safe and that I make no judgment about anything that you bring to our sessions. Whatever is shared is confidential, allowing us to work on your deeper issues that may be causing you emotional or physical problems. Reiki treatments are relaxing, gentle and yet powerful ways to make changes in your life.  Whenever you feel drained by someone who is negative or unwell you are probably giving them some of your own energy. This can leave your energy depleted, Reiki can help to rebalance and protect you. We often make strong energy connections with those we care about, sometimes these are useful. However often people from the past can remain strongly connected and even stand in front of you, blocking your way forward. Using Reiki we can change your energy connections to people from your past.   Many physical problems begin with an emotional issue that you cannot deal with fully at the time. This can become stored in the body and create an energy blockage that eventually leads to the body communicating its unhappiness through physical pain or illness. Reiki can release the emotional blockages held in your body benefiting every part of who you are. After taking some personal details and sharing what it is you would like to begin to change, you can relax on a couch with peaceful music filling the room. The rest of the world goes away as you deeply relax and the energy does whatever is needed.  The energy you need is drawn through me, I have no need to control it and trust the energy to help you to come back into balance.
